BABY MARIO’S IN-HOME NEWBORN SESSION

Baby Mario’s in-home newborn session: After having the pleasure of photographing mommy Diana’s maternity session, I was so excited to meet this little cutie at 13 days young.  This was Diana and Mario’s first baby, so they named him Mario, of course.

For the newborn session, Diana opted to use April of Faces By April again for hair and makeup. April came to her house just as she had done for Diana’s maternity session. I always recommend this service, as it gives the images such a polished look.  I think all new new mommies deserve to be pampered, don’t you?

As mom requested, we used seafoam, white and gray colors which matched the colors of Mario’s nursery.  Mario was a champ for the posed portion of the session.  He slept really well and I was able to get through numerous setups including him in some little rompers and some with him wrapped.

After Mario’s poses, we photographed lifestyle images in his nursery with mom and dad.  This is one of my favorite parts of the session! I love capturing those precious details of the baby’s nursery – the seafoam green walls with wainscotting on the bottom, his name on the wall above the crib, the mobile with zoo animals and a big stuffed elephant sitting on a love seat. Mom had also ordered these adorable cloud lights that hung from the ceiling in a corner of the room. His nursery had such a peaceful look and feel to it and was just so calming.
