Beach Maternity Session

A beach maternity session is one of my favorite things to photograph.  I had just the beach in mind too beautiful Coral Cove Beach in Jupiter, Florida.  All of my outdoor sessions take place about an hour before sunset-also known as the golden hour.  This is when the lighting is the most flattering for my subjects.

I received a call from Diana, a soon-to-be mommy, interested in a maternity session.  She had received a gift certificate towards a newborn session for Christmas from a family member and also wanted to do a maternity session with me.

I met her at her home for a pre-consultation where we discussed possible locations, styling and posing. I also learned that her and her husband, Mario were high school sweethearts and are now both doctors.  So sweet! We also went over my collections and pricing in more detail and she got to see my product samples, which she loved. I also offered the option of hair and makeup services which Diana gladly accepted.

My hair and makeup artist, April of Faces By April came to Diana’s home and did her hair and makeup before our beach maternity session.  Close to sunset, I met Diana and Mario, her husband at the beach where we got a variety of pictures on the boardwalk as well as on the beach.  The rock formations at this location were incredible and I knew they would make for a beautiful backdrop.  Although it was a bit windy, we had beautiful weather which resulted in gorgeous images.
